A fabulous selection of private gardens covering a range of styles and sizes.
From grand beachfront locations to whimsical decorated garden areas to Tuscan landscapes to more compact home-made gardens (and everything in-between!). The Garden Safari is generally a self-drive event where you are given a programme (and if required a map of Waiheke) from where you purchase your ticket.

31 December 2010 High Life New Year's Eve Experience
Stonyridge Highlife NYE Early bird tickets will be released for sale on Thursday July 1st at 9am and will be available exclusively from www.iticket.co.nz, Real Groovy Queen St, Conch Records Ponsonby Rd and Stonyridge Vineyard Waiheke Island. A full transport service including extra ferries, taxis and buses will be organised to transfer guests to and from and around the island on New Years Eve. For those people not staying on Waiheke, party boats will be organised to take guests off the island so your NYE experience doesn’t finish at the event.

15 January 2011 Wharf to Wharf Fun Run
Run or walk 25km from Orapiu Wharf to Matiatia Wharf through beautiful scenery and over hilly terraine.
Or if that sounds too tough there are other options such as walking 13km to Onetangi, or run or walk 12 km from Onetangi to Matiatia, or start at Kennedy Point and run or walk 7kms to Matiatia.

28 January - 20 February 2011 Headland - Sculpture on the Gulf
A biennial outdoor sculpture exhibition held on a magnificent two kilometre public walkway on the coast of Waiheke Island. It is an important event on the New Zealand arts calendar and is a showcase for New Zealand's leading sculptors.
The exhibition is a non-profit event, free to the public.

Weekly market, rain or shine with both local and regional stalls. Lots of yummy local foods and produce, arts and crafts and more.
Also includes natural health including massage, reflexology, iridology, flower essences and more, local authors, secondhand books, all sorts of jewelry, beauty products, plants and decorations for the garden, bric a brac and collectibles, new and secondhand clothing and goods plus much, much more. Stalls both inside and out.
